Intern’s Reviews

Lizzie Golding

"During my physics degree at the University of Manchester, I gained a real love and appreciation for weather forecasting and meteorology. Here at OpenWeather,I am working as a summer intern in the R&D department. OpenWeather has supported me in learning about machine learning and how global weather models are made and used. I have gone from having only a very basic understanding of this, to creating my own model and implementing these skills to help develop other models further. I have found this to be a very rewarding experience thanks to the support from the members of staff I have been working closely with. This internship has given me a real insight into the workings of the industry and I am so very grateful for the experience!"
